The English Premier League has come and gone, the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League. I salute the victors and cry with the vanquished. Other leagues are done for business as well, maybe except a few. The focus invariable shifts to the Mother of all “footballs”, the World Cup in South Africa. No clear cut favourite from the neutrals like me but, the interest for now, is, after the drap of the 2010 Africa Nations Cup in Angola, how much of an impact are the African teams going to be? Are African players in big league teams only club football material and why?
