FC Barcelona were made to engage into extra gear by a newly promoted side, Hercules, while Real Madrid were on song outclassing Osasuna. Ozil was incredible and Ronaldo had his sublime touches and hunger to go with it.
Real fought for each other and chased every loose ball. They won almost all 50-50 ball and gave each other tremendous support. They were involved in midfield combats, winning essential midfield duels.
Osasuna did not give away much either. They waited for Real to press and pushed forward on counter attacks. For all their dominance, Madrid only managed a 1-0 victory, good news for The Special One, Jose Mourinho, given an embarrassing loss of Barcelona.
Is it The Special One has the tonic to turn Real into real champions of world football? Is this the beginning of the inevitable end of the Barca dominance?
