Highlanders Football Club had a good weekend, winning 2-0 against perennial under-achievers, Zimbabwe Saints. Zim Saints were once a power-house in Zimbabwe football, winning the league in late 1980s and a handful of silverware. Saints have been trying to earn automatic qualification into the top-flight until they purchased their berth and one would hope they stay there.
It was a relief for Bosso and their fans to win essential points after a disappointing home 0-0 with Kiglon the other week. By their own standards, Tshilamoya are still to hit top gear. As irrelevant as that may be for now, the desperation for the old good days is quickly gripping the team as they push for the home straight in their Castle Premier League campaign, which is currently ruled by Rahman Gumbo’s FC Platinum.
Bosso are currently 3rd behind Platinum and reigning champions, Motor Action. Motor Action and 4th placed Dynamos of Harare have a game in hand.
